The Great Escape!

Out of the darkness, Into the Light. Freed from hell's prison By Jesus, the Christ!
Artwork done by MOUNTAIN MAN, artist Mike Lamborne, depicts the pit of hell. It takes the "lightning" power of God to break the chains of sin we are bound with. The three crosses in the upper left hand corner remind us that our freedom comes through the death of Jesus Christ, who paid for our sins with His own blood.
The front wheel cover depicts our struggle to escape from the black hole of sin. No matter how hard we try, we can't do it ourselves. Only Jesus can set us free.

In the summer of 2004, this 2001 "plain jane yellow" Goldwing motorcycle took on a new look. After picking up a matching yellow Hannigan trailer from the factory in Murray, KY, Paul & Trish Jackson traveled to Circleville, WV where Mountain Man poured his soul into the beautiful story of deliverance depicted here on the bike and trailer. For eight days, the artist felt the hand of God upon his own as he endeavored to bring the message to life.
Paul & Trish Jackson are pictured here with Mike Lamborne at his mountain home near Circleville, WV just before they left to return to Kansas.
It took the artist over a week to complete the series of murals that are interconnected. Here is the story they tell:
Gas tank cover: Don't spend eternity wishing you were someplace else!

Hell is unending spiritual darkness, weeping, wailing, gnashing of teeth, loneliness, hopelessness beyond our worst imagining, utter lostness. Why would anyone want to go there? Heaven is the destination of those who have been redeemed by Christ and are obedient to Him. They will find love and fulfillment beyond their wildest dreams: No more crying or pain, no night, no disease, and a party like none we've ever seen on this earth, celebrating the victory of Christ and His followers.
Rear storage compartment: READ MY LIPS! Eternity's forever and the party's not in hell.
Contrary to popular opinion, hell is not a continual pleasure party with all of our friends; instead, it will be an unending nightmare. (Luke 16:22-26)
The eagle eyes follow you as you walk, a reminder that we cannot hide from God. He knows where we are and what we are.
Right hand saddlebag: The Truth will set you free. John 8:32.
The sword of Truth is the Word of God. It is the Truth that breaks the chains that bind us.
Jesus says:
I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father (God) except through me. John 14:6
Left hand saddlebag: He came to set the captive free. Romans 8:1-3
JESUS IS GOD IN A HUMAN BODY.
He left the splendor of heaven, setting aside His own desires, became a man, and subsequently died on a cross, even though He was innocent of any wrongdoing. HIS DEATH PAID FOR YOUR SIN AND BOUGHT YOUR FREEDOM!
Trailer front: What are you bound for? HEAVEN OR HELL. Be sure to make a choice you can LIVE with. We can accept God's provision for us and determine to follow Him,
OR
we can continue to go our own way and end up in hell.
HAVE YOU MADE A CHOICE?
Satan would like you to believe that going to church once a week or just being a good person will guarantee you a place in heaven. But the Bible says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23. "For salvation is found in no one (or nothing) else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12. Trailer lid: Did you know that eagles mate for life? The eagle in the sky is flying free. The other still struggles to escape from the black hole of hell. Romans 6:23 says: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Escape from hell is not something we accomplish on our own. No matter how good we are, there is still a great chasm separating us from God. Our sin keeps us chained. Jesus is our Deliverer.
The lightning bolt coming out of heaven reminds us that the power of God can free us from the power of hell.
The three crosses of Calvary silouetted at the top of the lid tell us that God chose to free us from bondage by allowing His Son to die for us. (John 3:16)
We are saved by the grace of God, not by something we do. Christ has already done it for us. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Our response is to trust God for our salvation and live a life pleasing to Him.
If you think that is a tame, dull, and uninteresting way to live, try it. You'll find it more challenging than anything you've ever done.
Trailer spoiler: For you, oh Lord, have delivered my soul from death . . . You have freed me from my chains. Psalm 116:8,16.
Our call for help WILL be heard.
GOD CARES ABOUT US.
He loves us and wants to free us from hell's grasp.
Trailer side panels: My chains fell off . . . My heart was free . . . I soared aloft . . . On eagle wings.
The chains of sin will bind us in hell for eternity without God's intervention. He has provided a way of escape from the things that hold us captive: addictions, sexual immorality and perversion, witchcraft, greed, idolatry, rage, anger, obscene talk, hate, jealousy, and evil intent. Romans 8:1-3 says: "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Him, the law of the Spirit set me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.
Jesus frees us from bondage to be all we can be. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me. . . and I will listen. . . You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will. . . bring you back from captivity." Jeremiah 29:11-14 Back of the trailer: "If the Son shall set you free, you shall be free indeed!" John 8:36

Following Jesus is the ULTIMATE freedom of the road.
He will take you places you never dreamed of.
How about it? Are you ready to make "The Great Escape?"
God can free you from your chains right now.
PRAY THIS SIMPLE PRAYER:
Jesus, I'm sorry for the things I've done that are not pleasing to You. Please forgive me. I know that You died for me and paid for my sin by Your death on the cross. I want you to come into my life right now. Clean all of the filth out of my life and make me a new person. I am trusting you to do that and to take me to heaven when I die. I love you and I want to live for you. Thank you, Jesus. I pray this in Your powerful Name. Amen.
Now that Jesus is your Savior:
- Seek out a group of Bible believing Christians who can encourage
you in your new walk with Christ.
- Spend time reading God's road map, the Bible. The book of John is a good
place to begin.
- Pray for God's guidance as you begin each day and ask for His help in over-
coming difficulties. - Tell others how Christ has changed your life.
If you have prayed this prayer and asked Jesus to come into your life, we'd like to hear from you: paul@gojetstream.net
